...With Daisies invites viewers to consider the organizing and strangling effect of the room on the relationships contained therein, and to consider the absurd beauty of the parameters we impose on our own moments of relation.
Good Morning Press
In somewhat punchy conversation with functionalism, ownership, and “Toronto Architecture”, the artist-duo Sarah Beatty and Daccia Bloomfield of Good Morning Press take aim at some of our most comfy illusions.
Poking fun at the dominant preciousness and rootless so-called minimalism of interior/exterior design and house pride, GMP reminds us that not all is well in our “quiet urban sanctuaries”; wage slavery, financial chaos, and playing house all call for a kind of moral renovation with dust in its seams.
In candy hued long distance collaborative drawing collages, b & b (Molly Brandwein and Daccia Bloomfield) explore the static, profoundly claustrophobic, and innately surreal environment of the room.

The artists invite guests to engage with the works first hand as the exhibit questions things many of us take for granted such as…
*Does that mortgaged or rented condo really belong to me?
*Am I represented by my new back deck or modular couch?
*Can this place I’ve made in any way mimic, hide, be destroyed by, or steal from nature?”
